A 3 square meter route housed in one of the most evocative places in Europe: it is the Vienna Rathaus Ice Rink, the most spectacular ice rink on the Old Continent.
As winter approaches, the big cities of Europe are preparing to host unique skating rinks where families, couples and groups of friends can spend a few hours of fun and relaxation. Some of these spaces, however, are a true spectacle to behold, such as the Vienna skating rink, which is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the city, which also houses the town hall, the Town hall, the imposing neo-Gothic style building built at the end of the 19th century.
There are several factors that make the Vienna Ice Rink one of a kind. First of all the measures: it extends through 3 thousand square metersthat will become 8 thousand as of January 18, 2019, when the skate will not only travel through the square in front of the town hall but will also travel along the paths of the park of the same name.
The place is the real icing on the cake: at sunset, in fact, all the trees are illuminated with colored lights, making the surroundings of the ice rink look like a real enchanted kingdom. If the little ones will feel immersed in one of their favorite fairy tales, the older ones will enjoy an incredibly romantic atmosphere, underlined by the notes of a waltz or more popular and pop songs.
The Rathaus ice rink is open every day until 22 p.m., if adults prefer to meet in the afternoon, the little ones enter free from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m., and have a space at their disposal in the What to practice if you are first weapons. Starting on the 17th, however, the focus is on curling enthusiasts. Between one skate and another there is obviously also the possibility of relaxing and cooling off: you can enjoy a snack in one of the different outdoor kiosks that offer customers local and strictly organic gastronomic specialties. Or, if you prefer, you can warm up with an organic punch or tea, to stay happy for the acrobatics that await you on the track.
