Let's start from a small and frenetic town located in the south of Venezuela, on the border with Brazil, Santa Elena de Uairen. This city is very welcoming and from here you can start exploring Gran Sabana, although accommodation, food and tour prices are much higher than elsewhere in the country, with the local economy more calibrated to neighboring Brazil than other Venezuelan cities.
Another city worth seeing is Merida, famous for tallest cableway in the world, 4.765 meters, on Mount Espejo. The people are friendly and hospitable, the city is very popular with tourists, even from Venezuela itself. Here, in addition to the many colonial buildings present, there are the Archbishop's Palace, Government Palace, the headquarters ofUniversity of the Andes , Cathedral, one of the most beautiful in Venezuela.

This place is very popular with Venezuelans for holidays, so you have to arrive early in the morning if you don't want to risk finding all the beaches occupied. The colorful houses of Dutch origin with red and pink roofs make Adicora a delightful town to visit.
We must not neglect the islands, in Venezuela there isLos Roques archipelago which represents the Caribbean dream: white beaches, crystal clear sea and coral reefs to explore. Here is an earthly paradise for lovers of snorkelling but also fishing. The only inhabited island is Great Rock, but all the other islands can be reached by boat.
