The race will take place on Sunday 27 May Monte Carlo Formula 1 Grand Prix and there are many people who will rush into the Principality of Monaco to watch the race. Let's see what to do and what to visit in Monte Carlo and the Principality of Monaco.

The main attraction is, without a doubt, the Formula 1 urban circuit, which is located in the center of Monte Carlo and which can be visited during a quiet walk. Of course, this applies on non-Grand Prix days, when the circuit is busy.

The other symbol of Monte Carlo is the Casino, which is located in the square of the same name with a majestic fountain and which is absolutely worth a visit. The building that houses the Casino attracts numerous tourists, not only among players, thanks to the gold, marble and frescoes it contains. Designed by the same architect as the Paris Opera, it is also present in many films.

Next to it, there it is Grand Theater of Monte Carlo, a meeting place for the international jet set, has hosted numerous international premieres. A miniature copy of the Paris Opera, it is a splendid example of the Belle Époque.

The Principality of Monaco is not just about fun: the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception it is a true jewel of neo-Romanesque art. Consecrated in 1911, it stands on the remains of a church from 1252. Inside, the tombs of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Grace Kelly are preserved.

Monaco-Ville – otherwise known as The Rock – is the place where the official residence of the Princes of Monaco is located, Grimaldi Palace. The palace stands on the remains of a Genoese fortress and can only be visited in summer. At the entrance, there is a double staircase in Carrara marble from the 1600s and inside there is a riot of frescoes, paintings, eighteenth-century furniture, gold and brocades.

Almost all the tourist attractions of the Principality are grouped in the capital, Monte Carlo, but moving to the Les Révoires district it is possible to visit the Exotic garden of Monaco, created by Prince Albert. And then there is the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, housed in a beautiful 1950s building, built directly on a seaside cliff. The Museum contains collections of models, boats, fishing and navigation gear, an aquarium and a large whale skeleton. For several years, the Museum was directed by the great researcher Jacques Costeau.
