When to visit Yerevan
Yerevan is located at the northeastern end of the high plain of Ararat, about 1.000 meters above sea level, from 865 to 1.390 meters depending on the district.

How to get to Yerevan
The best way to reach Yerevan, Armenia is by air. There are several companies that connect to Armenia with direct flights or with stopover. Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport is located approximately 12 km from the center of the capital and is a modern and efficient facility.
It is also possible to reach Yerevan by land through the borders with Georgia in the north, and Iran in the south (the borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan are closed and impassable).
