The Plaza Mayor is the main square of Madrid, it is located right in the center of the city, a few minutes walk from the Puerta del Sol. Despite the rather high prices charged by the restaurants and cafes under the arcades that line the square, this is still a wonderful place to sit, try some good Spanish wine, taste the tasty tapas and watch the passersby. The Plaza Mayor is perhaps the most emblematic place in the capital, a fully deserved attribute. Presided over by an equestrian statue and hundreds of tourists who flock to it, its colors, its beauty, its constant movement, despite the static over the years, gives a special value to the tourist. At Christmas it is full of stalls where you can buy Christmas ornaments.
