The Plaza of Spain in Madrid is the gateway to the historic center. From here, you can quickly access some of the city's main arteries: Gran Vía, via Princesa, via Ferraz ...
This is a fascinating place and thanks to the park it seems to be in an oasis in the middle of a city that is always lively and full of people and cars. Very well connected, the square has become one of the main meeting points for locals and tourists.
What stands out most in the square is certainly the monument to Miguel de Cervantes. At the foot of the large obelisk we can see the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza riding their steeds, while its creator Cervantes “watches” from his granite chair.
