Enveloped by the soft beach of Corralejo and the turquoise sea of ​​the island of Fuerteventura, the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real is a luxury resort nestled in an area that, due to its beauty, is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Heritage.
For me this would already have been a more than valid reason to choose it for my holiday in the Canaries: then put me to sleep in a luxury room directly on the beach, lulled by the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline, the two swimming pools, the SPA and restaurants with gourmet cuisine and that's it.

Delicately set on the white beach of Corralejo, close to the northern tip of the island, the hotel is approximately 30 minutes 'walk from the center of Corralejo and less than 40 minutes' drive from Fuerteventura Airport.

Don't forget to stroll through the alleys and streets of the old town (Casco Viejo) and to empty your wallet on Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen with its characteristic bars and boutiques of all kinds.
Corralejo Dunes Natural Park: characterized by the largest dunes of all the Canary Islands, it is a huge expanse of honey-colored sand and impalpable like talcum powder that plunges directly into the blue waters of the ocean.
The white sand dunes follow one another to the sea giving rise to long beaches ideal for sunbathing, relaxation and windsurfing!
Isola di Los Lobos: the island of Los Lobos has been declared a Natural Park, and is, for this reason, a protected site. To explore it just follow the paths marked in the sand. The island is located right in front of the hotel and can be reached by a short ferry ride (approximately 15 minutes)
Visit nearby Lanzarote: ferries to Lanzarote depart every day from Corralejo. Upon request at the hotel, the concierge will book you a tour to discover this unique volcanic island in the world.

From the soft linens, embroidered robes and towels and jetted bathtubs, to the large balcony and huge flat-screen TV, the rooms will make you feel like a queen during your stay.
For an even better experience ask for a room with a balcony directly overlooking the beach! You will fall asleep lulled by the sound of the sea and you can relax filling your eyes with the blue of the ocean from its balcony (and at night stargazing!).

The kitchen of the The Royal Cupboard does everything to satisfy guests: we have found an international and indigenous cuisine, show cooking and a really wide choice of dishes among which it is difficult not to find something even for the most demanding palates.
Every morning for breakfast our favorite spot was in the small and intimate exotic garden. A perfect breakfast, fresh fruit juices, yoghurt, fruit, sweets of all kinds, various cold cuts and cheeses, ready-made savory dishes.
La Dome of Carles Gaig offers fine cuisine, whose menu of delicious delicacies is overseen by the expertise of Chef Gaig.
For something a little different, Yamatori features a fusion of Japanese sushi and teppanyaki. Enjoy the Teppanyaki experience where the chefs cook for you at a giant shared table. You can order Ă la carte or from a set menu. Ours started with miso soup and salad followed by a large choice of sushi with tempura vegetables, salmon and tofu. Of course, your dinner can only end with a green tea dessert or ginger ice cream.
Il Piano Bar El Mirador it is a pill of romance: every evening from the terrace we listened to live music while sipping a digestive.
We sat talking about the day and what we were going to do the next day: magical moments with a view of the star-studded night sky.
The highlight of the Gran Hotel Atlantis is definitely the Coco Bay Chill Out and Coco Bay Lounge & Club: This is the perfect place to relax with a glass of Champagne or a cocktail on a Balinese bed or to dine alfresco with stunning views over Lobos and the island of Lanzarote. The beach
The beach of the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real it stands on the white sand of Corralejo and is lapped by the crystalline waters of the ocean.
Bear in mind that actually no Spanish beach is completely private (it's against the law) but the stretch of sand of BahĂa Real is one of the more secluded parts of Corralejo's famous white sand dunes, as it is located away from other resorts.
In the bar the staff is very courteous and kind always ready to serve what you want directly under the umbrella.
Safety is guaranteed by lifeguards present all day and the beach is fully equipped with sun beds and umbrellas.
Along the beach there is a wooden walkway that allows you to reach the neighboring dunes and beaches and you can take long walks by the sea.
The two outdoor pools
Leaving the suites, a few steps away, they are two swimming pools surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The atmosphere is made even more relaxing by the stream that flows slowly through the trees and flowers.
The pools are heated and furnished with comfortable loungers that invite you to stop and take advantage of this oasis of tranquility. The mornings pass slowly as the sun warms us and Lorenzo swims and has fun in the pool.
Bahia Vital Spa
The Bahia Vital Spa is a huge space to relax and unwind of about 3000m²:
You can swim in the heated indoor pool, which is beautifully lit by the huge windows overlooking the ocean.
The SPA is a place created specifically to relax: the hydrotherapy circuit incorporates high pressure water jets, water massage beds, seats with hydro jets, whirlpools and various types of showers.
But in my opinion the real strength is the waterfall of water over 3 m high in the center of the pool.
You can also indulge in Finnish sauna and solarium.
There are many treatments offered in the spa and we enjoyed a relaxing couples massage before going for a swim. The haircuts are also offered in their home salon.
5 - Can you exercise?
If after a long day of roaming around Fuerteventura, climbing up and down the sand dunes, trying your hand at the thousands of water sports that the island offers, or after a trek to Los Lobos island, you still feel the need to do more exercise, don't worry: the private gym of the Gran Hotel Atlantis BahĂa Real is there if you need it!
The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities with countless tools for cardiovascular training, body building and body toning.
Just outside the gym is a large terrace with a giant Jacuzzi where you can relax after your workout.
And if all this were not enough for you, you can follow Yoga, Pilates, Spinning and Kick Boxing courses.

Although it is the ideal place for a couple on romantic honeymoons, the Gran Hotel Atlantis BahĂa Real is a completely family-friendly hotel and offers a wide range of services for children (even for the little ones) and parents.
The Resort is equipped with specially designed family rooms with two communicating rooms to ensure security and privacy at the same time. In the rooms there are also various facilities for children such as cots, cups of good night milk, bathtubs for babies, bottle warmers and baby monitors.
The hotel has a park and a swimming pool for children, specific menus for children and a program of various activities and workshops at the Harlequin Mini Club under the supervision of attentive qualified personnel.
It also offers a babysitting service (with supplement) to allow parents to enjoy a romantic dinner or a relaxing session at the SPA or to practice their favorite activity without worries.
