The large masses of tourists ignore it and this is the great advantage of Palm Island, a small taste of paradise among the 600 islands of the Grenadine archipelago.
The web is a bottomless well of information, always able to offer something new, exciting and never heard before when preparing a trip. So the splendid one pops out of the online universe Palm island, Grenadine, well-known Caribbean archipelago of 600 islands. A gem to be protected at all costs and of which regular visitors are particularly jealous. In this slice of paradise there has been no tourist boom and the hope is that the environment remains as uncontaminated as possible, as it is today.
To date there is only one hotel structure in this corner of the Caribbean, the Palm Island Resort & Spa, and all lovers of this island hope that all this will never change. They are so jealous of the perfect status quo that they look with deep suspicion at the smallest changes, such as the introduction of TV and Wi-Fi in more rooms (currently only four of the 43 present have such services).
To reach the beaches of the island it is necessary embark at Union Island and soon find yourself on the pier sipping a welcome cocktail. Crystal clear water, palm trees and very white beaches, just like in a postcard, but above all without that annoying background noise caused by the presence of an excessive number of tourists. The quantity of guests is, as mentioned, limited, to the point that the staff knows each resident personally, as if they were old friends. All the staff are highly informal and on this island you live a peaceful life, between walks and bike rides. In fact, cars are not allowed, ensuring the protection of the place. For the same reason the under 16s are only admitted in certain months of the year, which definitely limits nightlife. Arriving here means feeling at home thanks to the staff and being reborn thanks to the sensations experienced among the views and sense of absolute relaxation.
There are many activities on offer, from kayaking to sailing, although it will be difficult not to try your hand at exploring every single centimeter of the island. A bike ride lasts about 15 minutes, which allows you to view each beach, and then focus on the innermost side, where you can also admire a small turtle sanctuary, where the eggs are laid. A paradise far from the world therefore, which everyone should experience but which the regulars will try to keep everything to themselves for a long time to come. And it's easy to understand why.
