The first to have discovered the Montenegro the new summer holiday destination was the Germans, always looking for low cost destinations. Beautiful sea, picturesque towns, good food and, above all, low prices. Then the others arrived too, including some Italians (fortunately not too many).
But Montenegro, in the meantime, has opened luxury hotels (the latest addition is the Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences of a South Tyrolean hotel group). So exclusive that places like BeÄiÄi, for example, have already hosted celebrities like Madonna, Brad Pitt, the Rolling Stones, who chose these shores as a "buen retiro" between one social commitment and another.
Also thanks to cinema and TV. Right here, at the Hotel Splendid in BeÄiÄi, some scenes of "Casino Royale" were filmed in 2006 with James Bond.
