Le Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands located in the Indian Ocean north of Madagascar, off Kenya. It is among the most popular destinations for honeymoons and romantic getaways because of its climate, beaches, sea and the relaxed pace of life associated with them.

The inner islands are enriched with granite rocks that stand out among the forests, the sea and the white sandy beaches. The outer islands are of coral origin and are flat, also characterized by the brightness of the sand of the white beaches full of palm trees and the blue of its crystalline sea. Vegetation and nature are the protagonists of the Seychelles islands along with the infinite variety of birds and its famous and colorful coral reef.

The position of the Seychelles archipelago near the equator and the influence of the trade winds make the climate of these islands tropical. Temperatures suffer minimal variations during the seasons and are pleasant all year round. The average temperature is around 28-30 degrees Celsius.
The two trade winds that blow over the islands at different times come from the northwest and southeast. The former blow from November to April and are lighter and more humid, while those from the southeast blow from May to October and are more intense and cooler, so northern or northwestern locations are preferable during this period. During these months, many water sports and sailing tourists enjoy these breezes to complement their vacation with a sporting getaway.
In the calm periods between the two winds, in April-May and October-November, the sea is calm and therefore perfect for snorkeling and diving, allowing you to admire the fantastic coral reef that surrounds these islands.
Coming back to the influence of the monsoon winds, there are two seasons in the Seychelles. One more humid and rainy especially from November to April, with short downpours and never being hit by violent cyclones, except in rare cases. Therefore, even during the rainy season, the island is suitable for a sunny vacation. A second season from May to October, which is instead dry and a little cooler.
Even in the Seychelles as in the rest of the world, in recent years the weather has allowed some exceptions. You can find some rainy days even in the dry season and long sunny periods in the wet season. As always, luck is the best travel companion.

The best time to travel to the Seychelles is during our spring (April, May) or autumn (October, November), to avoid the rains of December, January and February and the intense winds of July and August.
