1 - Burj Khalifa tickets: how to choose the right one?
If you've decided to visit the Burj Khalifa, you might look at the website and you might (like me) understand anything among the various tickets that there are. So let's try to clarify and see some basic information to better understand how it works.
First thing you need to know: depending on the time you decide to visit the Burj and depending on which floor you decide to arrive, the price will be different. So try to understand in advance what you want to do because if you decide to buy it at the last minute without having understood correctly (or without finding the ticket you want) you could have some bad disappointment.
Basically, the tickets are divided into “floors” and “visiting hours” (prime and non-prime).
What does it mean? it means that depending on the time and plan you choose to visit you will spend more or less depending on the time!
Let's try to understand better and see all the options available
1 - Tickets for "floors"
there two types of tickets:
- includes plans 124 and 125
- includes all previous levels and floor 148 which is where the highest vantage point is.
IMPORTANT: The best-selling tickets are those that allow you to visit floors 124 and 125 because they cost less (see prices below in this article): this however means that 1) they run out quickly and therefore it is better to buy them well in advance and 2) floors 124 and 125 are much busier.
2 - tickets for "visiting hours"
Like all skyscrapers from which one enjoys an exceptional panorama, the quality of your visit depends on what time do you choose. In the morning at dawn and in the evening towards sunset, the light is much more beautiful, it is a completely different experience than at 2 in the afternoon.
If you are a photographer you absolutely have to go to these two time slots because the time you choose will be what it is will make a difference in your photographs.
Of course, ticket prices also vary depending on the visiting hours.
The tickets therefore not only vary depending on whether you choose the 124 and 125 plan or the ticket with the 148 plan, but also based on the time you decide to go:
- NOT Prime time tickets - are the tickets for better times: at sunset and early in the morning.
For all floors the entrance is between 19:00 and 22:00 - Prime Time Tickets - Tickets in the "prime" hours have cheaper prices and the good part is that you will find far fewer people. The entrances are from 12:00 to 18:00
Now that you know the difference between the various types of tickets, it's time to understand the differences between the various experiences so you can decide which one is right for you.
2 - Tickets for floors 124 and 125
By Petr Vorobev /
If you choose this option, you will visit levels 124 and 125. Even if they are not the highest floors, they are high all the same (there is not much difference with the 148): you will be at a height of 452 meters, not bad right? I assure you that the view will still be breathtaking?
On floor 124 there are high-powered telescopes available, while on the 125th floor there is the 360 ° observation deck that gives you an “eagle view” all around. You will also be able to play virtual reality and (SPOILER BEWARE!) See the glass shattering before your eyes.
PRIME HOURS FOR THESE PLANS: from 12:00 to 18:00
NOTE: : if you have the GoDubai Card your Burj Khalifa “At the Top” tickets will be included! Attention: the card may seem expensive (€ 271,00 but if you think that the total cost of the attractions included exceeds € 650,00, you will realize that it is really convenient!)
Here all types of tickets available for this level. I found 5 that deserve your attention:
1. General admission
This is the general pass for levels 124 and 125, non-prime tickets on the official website cost AED 141 (around € 33,00) but I found a cheaper ticket for € 30!
These below are the cheapest Burj Khalifa tickets that you will find!
- Buy here the General admission ticket for the 124th and 125th floors
2. Tickets SKIP THE LINE
If no one has told you yet (but I bet you already know it or have imagined it), let me tell you: like so many of the greatest attractions in the world by now it is mandatory to buy tickets online for precautionary measures and to have a suitable number of visitors to keep the social distancing.
Burj Khalifa: ticket for the 124th and 125th floors (the best seller)3. Tickets for SUNRISE AND SUNSET
At VLADYSLAV DANILIN /
Se you want to take the best photos, you can enjoy the top view of Burj Khalifa at sunrise with this ticket from AED 129 from the official website! Plus, breakfast is included and there aren't as many people as there are other days - win-win!
Again, you can buy them on Tiqets about at the same price if the official site is out of stock:
Dubai: Burj Khalifa 124th Floor Sunrise Entrance Including Breakfast from € 30,004 - Package with VIRTUAL REALITY
If you are a thrill lover and would like to know how you feel at paracadutarti dal Burj Khalifa, you can buy the ticket with the “Mission 828” virtual reality experience included!
WARNING! When I updated the article this ticket was no longer available, but you can check Burj Khalifa ticket online from the official website when it is available again!
5 - In summary: which ticket for floors 124 and 125?
If you choose to visit during the “Prime Time” hours, here you will find the normal ticket.
However, with a little willpower I highly recommend theexperience of dawn, where you can enjoy an exceptional view with very few people and munch on a delicious breakfast!
3 - Tickets for Piano 148, "At the sky TOP"
By dvoevnore /
At first you will probably be a little hesitant about which ticket to choose since, on the one hand you will be attracted to the height difference, on the other from the price difference (the ticket for the 148 floor is much more expensive than the one for the 124 and 125 floors).
If you want to know my opinion, it's worth it. True, the difference in landscape is not so much, but the plane is much less crowded and you will enjoy it much more.
Also note that when you buy i tickets for level 148, you can also visit levels 124 and 125 as they are included in the price!
Level 148 is located at 555 meters above the ground, so the view you get from the outdoor terrace will simply take your breath away. You will also have a completely different experience the tour will be customized and you will have a welcome drink to help you immerse yourself in everything your eyes are seeing!
FIRST hours for floor 148: from 9:30 to 18:00
NOTE: : the price varies according to the time of the visit. Visits between 9:30 and 18:00 are considered "Prime-time", while visits after 19:00 are considered "NOT prime time".
That's all 3 types of tickets available for this level:
1. Prime and non-prime tickets
As mentioned above, prime-time tickets are available for visits from 12:00 to 18:00. The great thing about the early evening is that your visit will take place during what photographers call the golden hour (my favorite time) when the sky changes color from orange to red and blue at sunset!
La negative note is that often this is also the busiest hour so be prepared to share this moment with strangers.
SUGGESTION: if you are really fond of sunsets, I suggest you get tickets during the week; weekends are always doubly full!
You can buy tickets from the official website
Alternatively, you can purchase the Burj Khalifa entrance ticket for the 148th floor on the authorized ticket vendor sites below (depending on the time you enter you will be given the prime or non prime ticket)
- Burj Khalifa ticket up to the 148th floor
- Dubai: access to the 124th, 125th and 148th floors of the Burj Khalifa
2 - LOUNGE ticket
Il Burj Khalifa Lounge it is the highest salon in the world!
Located on levels 152, 153 and 154, it's a great place to kick back and relax with tea in hand or a romantic cocktail under the stars!
You can book yours Burj Khalifa tickets with lounge
To sum it up, even if it is far from cheap, getting on the Burj Khalifa is definitely worth the price!
See views of Dubai, the Persian Gulf, and the Emirati desert from the tallest building in the world it's a once in a lifetime experience and I truly believe a visit to Burj Khalifa is a MUST DO during your visit to Dubai!
SUGGESTION: if you decide to buy the ticket for the 124 and 125 floors, buy them very much in advance because they sell out quickly!
4 - Is it worth buying tickets for floor 148 instead of 124 and 125?
By MT Exposures /
You may be wondering: being more than double the price, is it really worth it to go to floor 148? If you want to know my opinion YES, I would say exactly YES!
Level 148 is much less crowded and offers a completely different experience.
Also, if you visit floor 148 you can compare experiences between all three levels because you will be able to visit them all!
So, if you have the budget, don't hesitate and buy tickets for level 148. After all, maybe this is the only time in your life that you happen to visit the tallest building in the world!
5 - Burj Khalifa "combo" tickets with other Dubai attractions
In Kiev.Victor /
In addition to the tickets to the Burj Khalifa that I have listed before, there are another myriad of packages that include others to visit the tallest skyscraper in the world, also other Dubai attractions definitely not to be missed.
NOTE: I have already suggested you to buy the GoDubai Card if you plan to visit Dubai far and wide (Burj Khalifa included!)
It is expensive but if you think that the price of all the things included exceeds 500 euros, maybe it is not that expensive. Give us a look!
So speaking of "packages" or of experiences that include visiting the Burj Khalifa with other things. The best I have found in my opinion are the ones below:
Dubai: Desert Safari with Burj Khalifa Ticket: in my opinion one of the "combos" cheaper. Includes ticket to Burj Khalifa on the 124th floor, then pick you up at your hotel for the desert safari which includes a buffet dinner, surfing in the dunes, a traditional and belly dancing show, camel ride and more what's this.
“Combo” ticket Burj Khalifa and aquarium. This is one of the best-selling tickets ever and not surprisingly: the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Aquarium are the two most amazing attractions in Dubathe! Visit the 124th floor of the world's tallest skyscraper and then immerse yourself in the underwater world in the shark-encircled tunnels. In short, the only ticket that allows you to go from the sky to the bottom of the sea.
Burj Khalifa: Dubai admission and tour: Discover the Burj Khalifa and take a tour of Dubai with this combo ticket. This tour crosses the entire city from north to south on an abra ride, the traditional water taxi, takes you to discover the city's souks and includes tickets to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Aquarium, as well as tickets to the Museum Al Fahidi Fort Museum.

6 - How does the visit take place?
Di Bulatovych /
Skyscrapers are like small cities. Although there are indications and there are also people assigned to check and give you the right directions, it could be easy for you to feel disoriented.
Then, this is what your visit to Burj Khalifa will be like. When you arrive (Enter the Burj Khalifa via the Dubai Mall, lower level) you will find the queue to enter. Once there were two, one to make tickets e the other for those who bought tickets online.
Although I haven't been back yet I guess since it is now mandatory to buy tickets online in the tail you will find only one also because you can show your ticket directly from your smartphone at the entrance, therefore, you do not have to queue to withdraw a paper one.
Once it's your turn, you will be directed to the corresponding elevator. L'Burj Khalifa lift it is an elevator that rises and falls at a speed of 10 m / second!
As you ascend, you will be able to enjoy a multimedia display where you will learn all the fascinating details of this architectural marvel.
SKY OPTION (level 148): If you have the Sky option, you will be taken to floor 148 first, where people usually stay for an average of 30 minutes (which is definitely enough) and then it drops to levels 125 and 124.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you go as early as possible and be among the first in line.
7 - How long does it take to visit the Burj Khalifa?
In Luke Gojda /
Sincerely? Aside from taking a thousand photos and unless you've got the ticket for the Lounge and the cocktail, there's not much else to do.
La duration of your visit will depend on:
- if you are a photo freak like me, you could spend hours waiting for the best light
- depending on the ticket you have taken, the duration depends on the number of floors you are going to visit
On average, a normal person who visit levels 124 and 125 is from 30 minutes to 45
To give you a better idea: if you have a ticket for level 148, even if you can stay as long as you want, people generally spend about 1 hour and a half to visit all three levels.
8 - How to get to the Burj Khalifa
Arrivare al Burj Khalifa it might seem simple, but it's not.
While I consider myself good at wandering around the city, there is something about skyscrapers and shopping malls that is simply impossible to comprehend. Sometimes I am convinced that I have to go to one side and I find myself on the other side, don't ask me why.
Remember, theentrance to the Burj Khalifa is through the Dubai Mall.
If you are staying in the center of Dubai, you will probably be able to walk to the Dubai Mall. However, if not, there are several ways to get there:
By metro
You can stop directly at the Burj Khalifa stop on the red line (which actually drops you off at the Dubai Mall) and walk to the Burj Khalifa. But keep in mind that, with this option, you won't have to go out.
The walk is quite long and there are also security checks so try to leave well in advance.
By taxi
You can also take a taxi to get to Burj Khalifa. You can easily find them on the street or you can ask your hotel to call you one. Taxi drivers usually take people to the Burj Khalifa so you won't have any problems.
SUGGESTION: The release of the Dubai Mall The closest leading to the Burj Khalifa is the one near the fountain and this is the one that might save you some time! Remember that there is no entrance to the Burj.
9 – Hotel al Burj Khalifa
In case you wish to splurge and sleep in the Burj Khalifa, know you can do it. Theirs Armani Hotel Dubai on site is a luxury hotel (the basic double room costs around € 500 for 2 people) offering world-class accommodation.
The hotel, which takes its name from the man who designed it.
The hotel presents:
- rooms decorated with Japanese tatami and exclusive fabrics
- restaurants 7 one of which is Japanese
- a Luxury SPA
- Entrance independent at the Burj Khalifa
- Entrance headed to the Dubai Mall
