The Dubai Fountain, or The Dubai Fountain, is the most choreographic fountain system in the world. It is located on the Burj Khalifa Lake in the center of Dubai, between the Dubai Mall, the Souk Al Bahar and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world.

The attraction was inaugurated the 8 May 2009. The entire fountain system, including light and sound effects, was designed by WET, the creators of the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas. The total cost of the whole work was 218 million dollars.

The fountain is illuminated by 6.600 lights and 50 colored projectors. It has a length of 275 meters with five circles and two central arches, and shoots water up to 152 meters high. The shows are accompanied by classical and contemporary Arabic music, as well as international music.

This spectacular attraction is one of the main cities of Dubai and of all the Arab Emirates. During the shows, light and music, together with water, create magical choreographies. The shows of the fountains they can be seen up to about 40 km away.

You do not pay an entrance ticket to attend the show. The show lasts 3-5 minutes and is completely free. This makes it the main free attraction in Dubai and one of the must-see things not to be missed.

Boat trip in the lake

If you want, you can take a boat ride on the artificial lake of the Burj Khalifa on the typical boats of the long, the Abra. The boats can carry a maximum of 6 people, and run every 30 minutes between 17.45pm and 23.30pm each day. The cost of a boat ride on the lake is 65 dhs, about 15 euros.
