Cuba is ready to enter the ‘phase 3’ of the clinical trial of Vaccine against Covid-19, called Sovereign 02, starting from March 1st. The authorities have announced that, once approved, it will be available to all the inhabitants of the largest Caribbean island and to tourists who go there on holiday.
The goal is to produce a total of 100 million doses, guaranteeing the necessary coverage for the whole country and exporting them to those who request them. According to what was declared by Vicente Verez, director ofFinlay Vaccine Institute, in charge of developing the drug, the results so far are promising, with a very powerful and long-lasting immune response.
