The first one has just started in Japan Hello Kitty train. The Shinkansen, the high-speed train better known as the 'bullet train', of the JR West railway company, has carriages in limited edition and, in the Land of the Rising Sun, everyone has already gone into raptures.
The train is completely Hello Kitty themed, with the characteristic pink and fuchsia colors dominating. The exterior of the carriages has been personalized with the image of the most famous cat in the world, while Shinkansen are usually blue.
But it is above all the interior that is astonishing and decorated from top to bottom with Hello Kitty.
The first car hosts Hello! Plaza, a sort of welcome center with a bar where you can try local specialities, a cinema where you can watch the adventures of Hello Kitty, an info point where you can find information on the most important places in the region that the train passes through during its journey and special sets, with Hello Kitty in train conductor clothes, where you can take selfies. Limited series Hello Kitty gadgets are on sale in the inevitable shop.
The train goes from Osaka to Fukuoka, in the south of the island, and makes stops in some of the most beautiful places in Japan, such as Okayama, where one of the most famous gardens in Japan is located, the K艒rakuen, with its sumptuous castle; Fukuyama, where some of the most beautiful temples are located; the ancient port city of Kurashiki; Hiroshima, epicenter of the atomic explosion of '45 and the very modern Kobe, with one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan and a panoramic vintage cable car that connects it to Mount Rokko.
Train travelers across Japan with a JR Pass can also hop on this special train that runs until September. Rail passes are valid from one day to a week and cost from around 15 euros to a maximum of 150 euros. They are very comfortable and convenient for traveling around the country and there are many tourists who travel by train making several stops to visit Japan. Japanese trains are famous for their punctuality and precision. Even without knowing the language, you can get around very well because it is impossible to make mistakes.
