Il Japan, you know, it's the country of oddities. A country where everything is possible, and where the journey is never a simple journey. For example, here animals take on a meaning all their own, starting with cats.
Cats which, in some corners of the nation, are the undisputed inhabitants of entire islands (just think of Tashirojima, nicknamed "Cat Island" and with 800 cats facing 100 humans). Today, however, the Japanese have gone decidedly further: in the village of hakone - small town located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (west of Tokyo) e famous for its onsen and views of Mount Fuji – a hotel was born in which, in addition to a room, you can also rent a cat.
There are 16 cats hosted in the hotel managed by Makikat Yugawara; a hotel born where once there was a simple "cat café", and which now offers an even more extraordinary experience, the possibility of renting a room and enjoying the company of a cat at the same time. An opportunity that is greatly appreciated especially by the younger ones, and by those who - for one reason or another - cannot keep a kitten within the walls of their home.
After paying the room rent, you choose the feline to spend time with; the rooms (6 in total) are dated double door, to prevent cats from escaping, and if desired you can also offer the little four-legged friend dinner, with special food for him.
«In our cat café, we often heard people say how much they would have liked to spend more time with a cat. So, we decided to transform the café into a real hotel. Unlike clubs or public spaces where felines are almost always "passive" and solitary, the ones we host in our hotel they love to be pampered and spend time with our customers», Yugawara explained.
Thus, you can work on the PC inside your room with a kitten nestled on your lap. Or, you can play with him and look after him. In any case, the time spent inside this hotel will be unforgettable.
