The numerous cafes where you can make a pleasant stop during the Austro-Hungarian era are also preserved from that time. Of the Russian period, however, very little remains. Lviv, unlike other Ukrainian cities, has no ecological monsters or obvious Soviet-style buildings, at least in the city center.
For a few months now, Lviv can be reached with direct flights from Italy with the airline Ernest Airlines. It starts from Milan Malpensa, Bergamo, Venice, Naples and Rome Fiumicino. It is an excellent alternative for those who want to spend a weekend discovering a new and little-known city, at least for now. Because when the Italians find out they will want to rush immediately.
