Before talking about the excellent food and good wine, I would like to focus on the pleasant and cozy atmosphere that you feel in this small and very nice restaurant-cafeteria.
Verde pistachio is located in the Ostiense area a stone's throw from the Roma Tre university, I discovered it on a Friday dinner, there were four of us and despite the tiredness of the weekend, we reluctantly left the place practically when it was about to close , around 2 pm.
Almost 5 hours spent happily in an intimate and cozy atmosphere, chatting with the owners and without spending even 20 € per person.
The friendliness of the staff is exceptional, the 4 guys who have immersed themselves in this unique and innovative new adventure are friendly, helpful and certainly passionate about their work.
The restaurant is always open, breakfast, lunch and dinner, excellent food, organic ingredients and Km 0, fresh dishes and always refined.
Burrata with chicory and caramelized onion, salmon tartar, diced seitan with vegetables from the garden, are just some of the dishes proposed by chef Camilla. vegan proposal, changes every day. I recommend you to take a look at the facebook page where sometimes the menu of the day is published.
For the "carnivores" I recommend the platter of cold cuts and cheeses, excellent and naturally organic, served with honey, to enjoy with a good wine that the bartender Raffaele will certainly have the pleasure to recommend.
The versatility of Verde Pistachio gives the opportunity to come even if it is for a drink, a craft beer, an excellent cocktail or a fresh fruit centrifuge.
The choice of spirits is also good, to finish the meal I tried an amazing Japanese Whisky, truly exceptional, and to think I thought the best whiskies were Scotch, Irish or American. It's ok, but on the other hand the Japanese really know how to do everything !!!
In short, I definitely recommend The Green Pistachio, a new point of reference for Organic Rome.
