La Beppu city is located in a deep bay on the volcanic island of Ky奴sh奴, in Japan, and is one of the most important spa destinations in the world. In this place considered very important for Japanese spirituality, there are different types of source, some with hot water, others colored, others still considered sacred. The temperature of the water varies from 37掳 to 98掳 C and every day around 70 thousand cubic meters are released: these data alone are enough to understand that this is a unique place in the world, a true wellness paradise.

Beppu however it is also considered the onsen (in Japanese it means spa) of the gods nine hells, not so much because of the high temperatures of the water, but rather because it presents nine major geothermal sites which are identified as wells. Each of these nine sites has its own particularity: for example there is the blood well, whose waters are red due to the presence of particular components that give this colour; there is the ocean well which instead presents blue water whose temperature reaches up to 100掳C and there is also the cyclone well which every quarter of an hour shoots jets of water up to 20 meters high.

THEonsen di Beppu it is the most famous and busiest spa town in the Japan: nearly 11 million people visit it every year. Its vocation for well-being has always existed, but in recent years the managers of tourist facilities have started a real revolution towards the concept of SPA. Numerous old spas have been replaced by modern wellness centers with all the necessary comforts. For this reason, Beppu confirms itself as one of the spa resorts most important not only in Japan, but all over the world.

Not to be missed in particular is the ancient one Suginoi Palace which features a large panoramic bathroom made up of 5 tubs developed on different steps, from which you can admire the surrounding panorama. In Beppu there are also very special attractions, such as the Sex Museum and the Ky奴sh奴 African Safari. Finally, there is also the possibility of visiting the local aquarium called Unitamago, where you can pet the fish with your hands: a unique experience for both adults and those traveling with children.
