The Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan is the oldest hotel in the world. Emperors, samurai, dignitaries and common travelers have, over the centuries, found hospitality in the Yamanashi prefecture at the Nishiyama hotel. This hotel is nestled between the Hayakawa and Yukawa gorges and integrates with the mysticism of the region in which it stands. The inauguration of the Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan took place in 705 AD. and with his venerable age (1310 years), he receives the title of Guinness World Record as the oldest hotel in the world. As many as 52 generations have alternated since 705 AD, when Fujiwara Mahito founded the structure. To this day, the family of the founding head continues the hotel management between faith, vocation and legend.
