I cherry trees in bloom have now become a symbol of Japan. A magical moment that attracts tourists who want to admire the sakura gardens. The best period is the one starting from second half of March and ends in mid-April. It is no coincidence that the moment of flowering also coincides with an increase in holiday bookings.
If you intend not to miss the magic of expanses of flowering trees, but you just can't wait for the sakura (cherry trees) at the beginning of April, then plum flowers (before) and wisteria (after) are also fine.
But this season is not only popular with tourists, the Japanese also usually celebrate the blooms and the arrival of Spring with lawn parties, known as hanami. The whole country turns into a big celebration in sakura season, starting from the first place where they bloom in southern Okinawa to northern Hokkaido.

Yoshiko it is certainly the most famous place, with its 30 thousand cherry trees, but it is also the most crowded. The best-known route is the one that starts from the train station and arrives at the mountain ridge through parks, places to admire the flowers and food stalls on the street.
Kyoto it is another obligatory stop for the cherry blossoms. It is a fascinating city thanks to its temples and imperial palaces. Don't miss the large 70 year old cherry tree on the pond of Muruyama-koen Park and the The Philosopher’s Walk, canal immersed in bloom.
A Kanazawa, in addition to the samurai and geisha neighborhoods, there is the Kenroku-en Garden, one of the three large Japanese gardens, a perfect place to enjoy the spectacle of sakura. TO Fukuoka, however, every spring the Fukuoka Castle Sakura Festival, dedicated to cherry blossoms inside Maizuru Park.
The capital is a must Tokyo, city that in 2041 will become home to the tallest wooden skyscraper in the world, where you can admire the blooms in one of the many gardens.
